About the book :
Pregnancy is not just a biological journey; it is a sacred and transformative experience that begins at conception. Modern science validates what ancient Indian wisdom knew for centuries: every thought, emotion, and action of an expecting mother shapes her baby’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. This book, rooted in the timeless practices of Garbh Sanskar—yoga, meditation, chanting, and visualization—offers expecting couples a comprehensive guide to nurturing both mother and child holistically.
Written by Dr. Tushar Dashora, a pediatrician and neonatologist with over two decades of experience, this book draws from his expertise in guiding expecting mothers at the renowned Pretty Mom prenatal classes, which he co-founded with Dr. Smita Dashora. Together, they have spent years teaching Garbh Sanskar to thousands of families, blending ancient Indian wisdom with modern science to create a holistic approach to prenatal care.
This revised second edition delves deeper into the spiritual and practical aspects of pregnancy with exciting new additions:
The spiritual consequences of scheduled childbirth (Mahurat Caesarean).
The impact of external conflicts like war on pregnancy.
Spiritual perspectives on coping with grief, such as the loss of pets during pregnancy.
Nine Divine, a unique and transformative section penned out of the author’s meditative revelations. This section links the nine months of pregnancy with the nine forms of Devi worship during Navratri, offering profound insights into both mysticism and motherhood. Complete with deity sketches designed for Trataka meditation, Nine Divine empowers readers to connect deeply with the divine feminine energy, creating a spiritual resonance between mother and child.
